We’re part of the Safer Routes to School network through Living Streets. This means that we encourage safe, sustainable travel and discourage parents and visitors from parking near our gates or driving down Abbey Street at key parts of the day. Following a pilot in 2015, this is now a legal enforcement and anyone driving down Abbey Street during the times listed below without a disabled or residential permit is liable to be fined and have 3 penalty points added to their driving license. Emergency vehicles are exempt.
Abbey Street is closed to traffic during these times:
Monday to Thursday 0820 – 0905, 1500 – 1540
Friday 0820 – 0905, 1210 – 1240
Abbeyhill Primary School
