After a recent enjoyable trip to Calton Hill, P4 had a follow up visit from local artist Tessa Lynch to work on an activity that focused on sketching the Edinburgh City sky line. The pupils worked together to draw their favourite buildings of the skyline using lines and shapes to create their images. A lot of team work and communication was needed to create the charcoal skyline pictures which are now proudly displayed in our classroom.
Primary 1 had a lovely, relaxing afternoon creating beautiful daffodils. These are special gifts to leave for our parents to collect tonight and tomorrow at the Parent Consultations. We really hope they get a lovely surprise.
We were inspired by the real daffodils that we have on display in our classroom.
I very much hope that current snow warnings come to nothing but be aware that in emergency situations/school closures text messaging will be used to update parents so please ensure that you keep your contact details up to date with us. Emergencies such as school closures due to adverse weather happen very rarely but it is important that we can get hold of you quickly if we need to. Please let the school office know straight away if you change your number!
