Settling in to Primary 2

The boys and girls in Primary 2 are off to a great start to the year.  After some small set backs with getting into our classroom, we are patiently waiting aboard our Pirate Ship.

The children are embracing the opportunity to show that they are now the oldest and most responsible pupils in the infant building, and we are very proud of them.

But they are still enjoying being little, and had a super time today meeting their Primary 7 buddies and sharing some lovely stories with them.

What a fun start to the year!

The Snorgh comes to P1&2!

Primary 3 were very excited about taking their own adventure stories over to share with P1 and P1/2 this morning.  After reading them the story that had inspired us, “The Snorgh and the Sailor”, the P3s read their own books that they have been writing about the Snorgh’s next adventures.  P1 & P1/2 were an excellent audience and really enjoyed hearing the stories and looking at the pictures.

Story time sessions

As part of our Book Week Scotland celebrations, the library is open every lunchtime this week for pupils who want a quiet space to read and enjoy books.  Some of our Primary 6 & 7 pupils are doing story time sessions over lunchtime for the infant children, who are clearly loving listening to the older pupils reading stories and asking questions.  We download books.
