It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas…

Christmas fever is well and truly upon us here at Abbeyhill.  After all the excitement of snow, the Nativity and Christmas Jumper Day, we were delighted to have such a fabulous turn out at our annual Christmas Fair, run by the Parent Council.

With baking, hot dogs, a raffle, tombola, P7 enterprise stalls and art activities from Awesome Folk, there was so much excitement in the air.

Santa, along with one of his elves, even took time out of his busy schedule to come and pay us a visit in our special grotto.

A huge thank you to all the parents who made this event possible with all their hard work.  We all had such a great day.

P1 Nativity steals the show!

photoOur Primary 1 pupils made us all burst with pride today as they performed “Angel Express” to a packed church as part of our special Christmas Assembly.  A big thank you to our Primary 2 narrators, to Miss Stewart and Ms Taylor for their superb directing skills and Ms Pender for making their beautiful costumes.  Keep a look out for more photos to follow…

Strictly Come Ceilidh

ceilidhOur school hall was transformed last night as the ceilidh band rocked out some scottish tunes at the P7 Ceilidh.  Our P6 and 7 pupils looked so glamorous and grown up (and the adults didn’t scrub up too badly either!) as they spun their way around the hall.  A big thank you to Mr Rae for doing all the dance practice – it was a truly memorable evening. image
