Welcome back to school for the summer term. The weather has been beautiful this week and we have been taking full advantage of this with packed lunches on the grass outside and an outdoor assembly today! It’s also fantastic to have the scaffolding down around the main building and to be able to access our whole playground again. I thought the trim trail might give way under the weight of almost the entire school on Tuesday as they all rushed to play on it!
The summer term is always very busy with trips, sporting events and end of term celebrations. The key dates for your diary will come out to you via letter but don’t forget that the school will be closed for the May bank holiday on the 4th May and agin on the 7th May as the school is being used as a polling station. We will be closed again on 18th May for Victoria Day and the end of term is at 12 noon on 26th June.
Next week we have an information event on 29th April for parents who would like to hear all about the online reporting system we are trialling this year, ‘Learning Journals’. Dave Clark, the creator or Learning Journals will be here to tell you all about it and answer questions. I look forward to seeing lots of parents there!
