Snow is falling, the Nativity will be rehearsed today for the final time before its premiere tomorrow, the Parent Council are busy preparing for the Christmas Fair, we had our delicious school Christmas lunch yesterday and of course it’s Christmas Jumper Day tomorrow! It’s definitely beginning to feel a lot like Christmas at Abbeyhill. For our families who don’t celebrate Christmas, I’m sure the thought of a few weeks off school or work and time to relax and see family and friends is still a very welcome one.

In preparation for the final week of term, please make sure that you know when your child’s party is and don’t forget that we all finish at 12pm on Friday 19th December (there will be no afternoon Nursery session).

Off, On ,Off, On…

Today, Primary 4 were set the challenge to create a circuit with a switch. The switch had to be created with a paper clip. After a few attempts, Frank came up with the successful solution by pushing the clip up to break the flow of the circuit. When the clip was pressed down the circuit was able to flow again. We are becoming electricity experts!

We are looking forward to asking Mr Arthur questions about working as an electrician when he visits us in class tomorrow.
